Design for Every Gamer 2.0 | RNIB
Design for Every Gamer is RNIB’s call for the games industry to make play more accessible for blind and partially sighted people. Working with creative technologists at HEX, we developed a game that puts this challenge directly in developers’ hands. Each level introduces a lesson in accessible design, so completing the game also builds an understanding of what needs to change. Throughout production, I helped ensure the game met RNIB’s accessibility requirements and that its key messages came through clearly across every element.
To bring the game to people who could put those lessons into practice, we created a direct mail package featuring the game’s character. A NaviLens code on the package takes recipients straight to the game, turning the campaign’s message into something they can experience and apply to their own work.
